Mecha Force

A mysterious ancient giant of steel.

Discovered by the United Defense Grid (U.D.G.), the human defense network against the Dominators. At the time of its discovery, the external armor was almost completely corroded, leaving only the core intact.
Through research, people found that a constant and powerful energy radiated from within this ancient core.
This unprecedented energy source became a beacon of hope for humanity, which had been suffering defeats in their battles against the Dominators, and for the U.D.G.

The U.D.G. began developing a combat machine that could house this core, but no material or technology could contain its overwhelming energy.
However, during a battle with the Dominators, they accidentally acquired an intact piece of Dominator soldier armor, which was able to successfully contain the core’s energy. The surviving human scientists, finally filled with a feeling of hope, initiated the human salvation project known as Project Buzhou.

According to ancient legends, Mount Buzhou was the only path for humans to reach the heavens. Now, facing invaders from space with absolute power, this project was named with the hope that it would carve out a new path for humanity.

And so, after some time had passed... At the brink of human extinction, the ancient giant of steel, KYLIN, humanity's last hope, was born.

Thirty years ago, humanity was ironically driven to global cooperation and unity due to the fierce invasion by the Dominators.

The leaders of the major superpowers jointly established the United Defense Grid (U.D.G.), and each nation proceeded with urban development to ensure the possibility of human resurgence "after everything was destroyed," with many countries developing underground cities. This granted humanity a brief respite, but their eventual destruction was only a matter of time.

However, at some point, the ruins of a site called "Kylin" were unearthed.
The Kylin ruins harbored lost technology so hopeful it was said, "If the Kylin ruins had not been discovered, humanity would have accepted their demise without resistance." With many lives still being lost, the core excavated from the Kylin ruins was utilized to initiate Project Buzhou, which led to the construction of Kylin.

By this time, most U.D.G. units were decimated, but to realize the project, the unit known as the U.D.G. Third Division was singled out.
Although the U.D.G. Third Division was near the frontlines and had suffered significant damage, they renewed their resolve by renaming the unit to "Kylin Force" to fulfill humanity's last hope and launched a rebellious fight against the Dominators.

Correlator is a young man and the only human capable of performing the neutral link required to pilot KYLIN. Transferred directly from the U.D.G. division to become KYLIN Force's pilot, Correlator, though extremely taciturn, displayed remarkable abilities and combat eagerness that significantly altered the course of the war.

Correlator's personal files were classified as top secret within the U.D.G. internal file system, but Dr. Uru, a member of KYLIN Force, independently conducted research on him.

Without a doubt... Correlator is... he is currently our only means to counter the Dominators.
However, he harbors far too many mysteries, which only fuels my research interest.

I have attempted to interview him several times; surprisingly, he was quite cooperative. Yet, I could not uncover how he acquired his extraordinary combat skills or his secrets.
From his occasional remarks, it seems he possesses a special ability that could be described as "refusing to die."

It sounds absurd, but... it seems that each time he dies in battle, he "transfers back to the moment just before the battle starts, retaining the memories of his death" (it's almost like time leaping!).
We are unable to perceive this transfer; it appears only he is aware of this fact.

I initially thought that the long and brutal battles he has endured caused him psychological trauma, leading him to hallucinate.
However, his brainwaves and mental state are entirely normal, and he firmly believes that "what is about to happen is an event from his past."

Why is he the only one with this time-leap ability? Are there other humans with similar abilities?
And—should humanity continue to use such a forbidden power...?

Machineera is the only being besides Correlator who can perform a neutral link with KYLIN. She joins Correlator in the cockpit of KYLIN and initiates a neutral link to share the burden of the battle.

While the KYLIN Force has few female members, her somewhat provocative fashion and love for retro games have captivated many members, earning her the nickname "Maki" and making her an idol within the team. There are devoted fans who keep detailed observation diaries about her and others who regularly check her fashion, indicating that some members are quite passionate about her.

Though she brings a bright side to the KYLIN Force, there are unsettling rumors about her. Some say she bears a striking resemblance to the daughter of the KYLIN Force's commander, who was severely injured, with 80% of her biological tissue damaged in a recent battle, and whose current status is unknown. If the extent of the injuries is true, her survival would ordinarily be considered impossible, leaving the truth shrouded in mystery...

On a certain planet in the vast universe, the conditions were too harsh and desolate for organic life forms to survive.

Billions of years ago, an organic life form happened to arrive on this planet. It fused with the inorganic materials present and survived as a new entity.
This entity did not just survive but became stronger, more resistant, and more voracious. Although their numbers were small compared to other organic life forms in the universe, the birth of these powerful beings was nothing short of a miracle.

Over an unimaginably long period, they formed groups, created a civilization, and developed as the native species of this planet. These beings possessed the intelligence that inorganic matter lacks and the immortality and strength that organic matter lacks. Exposed to harsh cosmic radiation for extended periods, they also gained powerful telekinetic and telepathic abilities.

One day, visitors arrived on this unremarkable planet.
The visitors' civilization had already reached a high level, possessing technology for interstellar travel, but they were physically weak.
When they encountered the native species, conflict ensued. However, the visitors' technology and weapons could not even scratch the natives' skin, resulting in the visitors becoming slaves to the natives.

Using their telepathic abilities, the natives read the visitors' thoughts, learning their technology and the coordinates of their home planet.
Moreover, by brainwashing them with their abilities, the natives reeducated the visitors to become loyal soldiers and ventured into space.

A hundred years later, the visitors' home planet was conquered by the natives.
A thousand years later, the natives discovered ways to reach even more civilizations.
Ten thousand years later, the natives had conquered most of the universe.

They became the scourge of civilizations, a plague, a cancer of the universe.

These strange beings, born in a barren wasteland, have now become a cosmic disaster.
People call them "Dominators."
